The RDS Student Art Awards and RDS National Crafts Competition is one of Europe’s leading independently adjudicated competitions, an exhibition of winners and exceptional works.
Each year during the Discover Ireland Dublin Horse Show, original and unique works from Ireland’s leading craft designers and creative art students are on display in the RDS Concert Hall.
The prestigious RDS Student Art Awards and RDS National Crafts Competition Exhibition, held at this major annual event, are an opportunity for thousands of visitors to view some of the best examples of work by craft designers and art students that Ireland has to offer. The Competitions are esteemed not only for their respective prize funds but for providing many of Ireland’s emerging artist’s with a valuable forum for gaining recognition.
The RDS National Crafts Competition Exhibtion features creative art forms that range from calligraphy and woodturning to contemporary ceramics and glass. The RDS Student Art Awards Exhibition represents the fine arts with works in painting, sculpture, drawing, and printmaking to name but a few.
